Energy systems
- where to start and how to reduce information overload – intensity, duration and examples
- how to ensure students memorise energy system equations as they go

EPOC
- teaching to the top on a difficult topic – extending and challenging all students
- using prior knowledge to activate new learning
- practical application tasks and memory frameworks

Session 2: 11.00-12.15 Exercise Physiology

- nutritional aids – giving them the information but doing something with it – focus on application skills
- comparing ergogenic aids – how to structure exam answers
- diet – engaging lesson hooks, justification and extension tasks – MasterChef, carousels
Aerobic capacity
