Outline: This webinar is for all colleagues interested in improving outcomes in their department – and might particularly attract Heads of Department and academic leads.

Emma will unpick and explore common issues, give time to reflect on current practices, and answer your questions with clear, solution focused answers.  There will be time to confer and share thoughts and ideas with colleagues. As Director of Teaching and Quality in a College that gained an Ofsted Outstanding as recently as October 2021 – Emma is the ideal person to lead this event and share best practice in her usual approachable and realistic style. Course materials will be emailed before the event.

 

Focus:

  • exploring how to model outstanding teaching and learning across the department
  • understanding how to develop a high-performance culture, supporting students to optimum exam performance
  • planning for the two year cycle: structuring the course to ensure peak performance
  • developing a strong understanding of the expectations of a subject leader in an Ofsted ‘deep dive’.

Tutor Profile – Emma Stephens

Emma is Director of Teaching and Quality at The 6th Form College Farnborough. Having taught all components of the OCR course for many years Emma is an expert in her field with a wealth of knowledge and ideas to share. She is an experienced A-Level PE Examiner / Team Leader (theory) and Practical Moderator (coursework), as well as a practised INSET tutor.  Her students consistently attain excellent examination results.
