Anatomy & Physiology with Exercise Physiology | Tuesday 9 February Morning 9.30-12.30

Outline: This webinar is suitable for both new and experienced teachers of the Physiological component. It will explore a variety of (both face to face and on-line) teaching and learning strategies as well as essential revision and examination techniques. It will equip teachers with a variety of tools to enable students to engage with and apply their knowledge to some of the more challenging topic areas.

  • Gas exchange at the alveoli and at the muscles.

  • Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) –

Training methods

  • Training methods and fitness components

How to remember any A-Level PE topic - forever! | Wednesday 10 February Morning 9.30-12.30

Outline: This session is suitable for all teachers of AL PE and will use examples from all theory components.  It will focus on how to implement a teaching and learning methodology which maximises long term memory. Part One will focus on strategies to maximise active learning and how to hook and encode information into the long-term memory. Part Two will be on how to remember key facts forever!

Skill Acquisition with Sports Psychology | Tuesday 2 February Afternoon 1.30-4.30

Outline: This webinar is suitable for teachers of all levels of experience, and will explore a variety of teaching and learning strategies as well as essential examination technique. With a focus on Skill Acquisition and Sports Psychology, it will offer innovative strategies for memorising challenging topic areas and explore the concept of interleaving to develop high level evaluation skills.
